The European Space Ventures Strategy for growth is built on past concepts (such as a Strategic Space Value Chain) and reacting to recent changes. The following are key strategies:

Strategic Space Value Chain

ESV’s core strategy is to build out a ‘Strategic Space Value Chain’, focusing on seeding, investing, co-managing and operating key space companies in growth areas, building niche services and products, that fill in the many part of the Strategic Space Value Chain.

Identify Geopolitical Opportunities for the European Space Sector

The 2025 shift in US priorities in defence and trade has brought-forward an expected change in European priorities, and now is the time to act. Europe will be re-arming, and that includes developing a sovereign space capability, from ground station to launch and satellite communications and surveillance.

Innovative European space start-ups

Identifying, funding and co-managing promising new ventures in the European space sector that have already gone through an initial phase of development, e.g. via a EU or local space agency funding selection process. The European Tech scene will be undergoing a massive change, ESV plans to be part of that change.

The New Space Economy

From On-orbit servicing out to Space Commodities, co-developing technologies for infrastructure and services related to on-orbit activities and the emerging space commodities market.

Space Resources

Focusing on opportunities related to the exploration, extraction, and utilisation of space resources, particularly on the Moon, that utilise planned infrastructure funded by the European Space Agency programs such as Moonlight, LunaNet and Argonaut.
